This is one of the hardest decisions I have ever took.
I’m selling this Djalu Gurruwiwi Yidaki that I bought back in 2009 when I had a workshop with him at Aboriginal Arts, in London.
The instrument is signed by Djalu, his wife Dopiya Gurruwiwi who painted the instrument, Balpatji Gurruwiwi that adopted me in the end of the workshop and another young master that was present at the workshop and whose name I think should not be said in public because he passed away since then.
The instrument is tuned in F, with a great sound, very thick solid wood, also very heavy, about 7 kilos! The mouthpiece is very comfortable. You can see a video on this link.
I’m selling it for 750 euros and this does not include shipping.
Sometimes big movements in life mean big efforts specialy when we are following a dream. I really hope I can find a good home for this instrument.
