Takas is the lithuanian word for path and it’s the name of my present solo act.

I started to play didgeridoo in 2001 and it has been a wonderful journey for me for all the personal discoveries, all the new friends, all the opportunities I was fortunate to experience.

In 2009 I had the pleasure to meet in person the great aboriginal master Djalu Gurruwiwi. In the workshop he asked me to play and later said that my sound was like a road I was going on. This kind of image comes often to my mind in my music.

With the didgeridoo came other instruments that I like to incorporate in my music like the mouth harp, the native american flute and the kalimba.
With the didgeridoo came a lot of travels and new places.

WIth the didgeridoo came, somehow, the woman I am getting married with this year and that has been so important in this whole process. She’s lithuanian and so the name Takas for this concert.
I’m currently working on my EP that should be out and launched in May 3013.
